This year marks 100 years since the acquisition in 1925 by Robert Gordon’s College of the Seafield Playing Fields at Thorngrove, the purchase being funded by the Gordonian Association (formerly the Gordon's College Former Pupils’ Association) to provide sporting opportunities for current and former pupils of Robert Gordon's College. The Playing Field at Seafield was purchased in memory of the Gordonian soldiers who gave their lives during the First World War. The sale proceeds from Seafield contributed to the development of the modern Countesswells Playing Fields, which continue to be an important part of the school and wider Gordonian community. To honour the centenary and ensure that the sacrifice of those Gordonians is never forgotten, we are raising £6,000 to install a commemorative stone at Countesswells. This memorial will stand as a lasting tribute to the former pupils of Robert Gordon's College who lost their lives in service to their country. By supporting this campaign, you are helping us preserve their memory for generations to come, providing a place for reflection for current students, alumni, and the wider community.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to reaching our goal. Please consider contributing to this meaningful cause and help us honour the legacy of the fallen Gordonians.
Thank you for your support.

Student Leader Gives Update from Schoolhill
We are delighted to introduce a new feature for our Gordonian Association website: updates from Schoolhill, bringing you insights into the life of current pupils at Robert Gordon’s College. These updates will be written by our S6 Gordonian student leaders, giving Gordonians a firsthand glimpse into the many activities, achievements, and experiences of pupils currently at Robert Gordon's College.
Our first update comes from Lavena (S6), who shares highlights from the past term by listing as many events, activities and trips as she can in just 30 seconds!
Stay tuned for more updates from Schoolhill as we continue this series, sharing the stories and successes of today’s RGC pupils.
The Glasgow Branch Presidents invite Gordonians to attend the Glasgow Christmas Lunch which will be held at 12:00pm on the 28th of November this year.
Following their recent appointments as joint branch presidents, Maddie Thomson (Class of “23) and David Clarkson (Class of “10) have already set the dates for two events in Scotland’s largest city. The first event, The Glasgow Christmas Lunch, is to be held at The Citizen - a popular restaurant and bar located close to Galsgow’s George Square. Given the event’s promissory to the festive season, the lunch on offer will be from a three course Christmas Menu. Booking for this event will be made available shortly.
